A couple of my favorite lunch and dining spots include Tao, Nobu, Gallow Green, Gitano, Estiatorio Milos, and Eatly. One of my favorite restaurants in New York City is Tao in Midtown. Here you can enjoy delicious Asian cuisine in a really cool and hip atmosphere. The food here is high quality and this is a great place to be or be seen at. The décor here is unreal!
For great Greek and Mediterranean food, check out Estiatorio Milos by acclaimed chef Costas Spiliadis. Oh my god, this is the best place ever! The food, service, atmosphere, is all amazing. Whenever I am in New York City, this place is always at the top of my list.
If I happen to be near the Flatiron and missing Italy, I stop by Eatly for lunch. This fun place features Italian delights from groceries, drinks, snacks, and desserts and everything in between all from Italy of course. This is always a fun place to eat and explore all the varieties of food and drinks.
If you want to escape to Mexico for a few moments, check out Gitano. This urban jungle oasis has great food and atmosphere and is truly unique. The first restaurant started in Tulum and on a hot summer day, it is almost like you are there! Tried the grilled avocado – so good!
Gallow Green is a really nice rooftop that has a gorgeous garden atmosphere and is a great place for Sunday brunch, lunch, or dinner. This restaurant is located at the McKittrick Hotel and you can usually catch live music here on Sundays. I love the lively atmosphere.
For drinks, snacks, and atmosphere, I enjoy many places. One of them is the PHD Lounge at the Dream Hotel in downtown New York City. This rooftop lounge is a great place to enjoy nightlife, DJ’d music, and gorgeous views of the breathtaking New York skyline. I enjoy small bites, cocktails, and the music well into the night.
Another favorite of mine is Salon de Ning at the Peninsula Hotel. When entering the hotel, I love the lobby and all of the flowers here – always so beautiful. This is a great rooftop to enjoy views of New York and great drinks. The ambience and atmosphere here are great.
Try out the Gansevoort Meat Packing Rooftop. This place has skyline and Hudson River views, has a cool pool, and I enjoy food and drinks here during the day, I am glad they no longer do meatpacking here!
Check out the Standard Hotel for nice views and lots to do. The best place for those views is the Top of the Standard and this is a great place to catch the sunset.
For an upscale experience, there is also the Champagne Bar at The Plaza Hotel that overlooks 5th Avenue. Who doesn’t like champagne?
When I am out exploring the city, I like to visit Central Park, Battery Park, The Empire State Building, Times Square, and Rockefeller Center. Visiting Central Park is always a must! This urban park always has something fun to see and do. One of my favorite areas is Turtle Pond which features Turtles of course. The Zoo is also worth a visit! In this park, you can almost forget you are in one of the world’s largest cities.
Check out the Empire State Building observation deck on the 102nd floor. This famous building offers 360-degree views of one of the world’s most impressive skylines. Another great place for amazing views of the city is Rockefeller Center. There are also plenty of restaurants, cafes, and shopping spots in the area. In the winter, this is a beautiful place to ice skate.
On the southern tip of Manhattan, check out Battery Park. The walk way on the shore offers great views of the Statue of Liberty. There are many cool things to see and do in this park including many great memorials and monuments.
Finally, what trip is not complete without a visit to Times Square. The lights, the activity, and the people always make this a great place to visit. I love the energy here and there is lots of it!
